Agilis Solutions employs the following internal controls to help ensure that the project entrusted to us by our client is being managed to the best practices in the industry.

Change Control

Agilis Solutions has a formal change control process that is engaged if indicators show that the project fundamentals (schedule, cost, functionality) need to be changed. If a change request is triggered, the Project Manager works with the client to reach consensus on the appropriate action, gets formal approval, and updates the project fundamentals (schedule, cost estimate, or feature set) accordingly.

Quality Assurance and Oversight

The purposes of review normally are:

  • To identify, analyze and find-out solution(s) for defects which a project may face that may cause difficulties or represent risks in progress; OR
  • To summarize and evaluate progress of a stage in a project's life cycle as well as assess the status of the project in order to make a GO/NO-GO decision of whether to let the project go into the next stage.

The objectives of a review are to evaluate material and provide evidence that the material:

  • Meets the commitments to the customer or affected groups.
  • Conforms to specifications made in previous stages.
  • Follows the project standards and procedures.
  • Any changes have been properly implemented, and affects only those systems identified by the change specification.
  • Remove defects early and efficiently. An important corollary effect is to develop a better understanding of the work products and of the defects that can be prevented.
The reviews are focused on the reviewed material and not on the producers. Results of the reviews are not used to evaluate the performance of individuals.

Internal Oversight

At Agilis Solutions, our senior management team monitors work quality and cost controls for every project. All Project Managers meet regularly with the Vice President of the Business Unit to review project milestones, discuss any challenges and opportunities, track project expenditures to date to insure the project costs are within budget, as well as other project metrics.

Risk Management

All projects create a Risk Mitigation Plan during the Discovery Phase of the project. Risks, risk indicators, aversion strategies, and thresholds are defined and tracked on a regular basis

Resource Management

The Project Manager actively manages resource utilization and performance during the project. Adherence to engineering standards is rewarded and those requiring improvement are coached in the areas needing development. In the unlikely event that an Agilis Solutions project member does not meet the client's expectations or a project member leaves the project, we will work closely with the client to ensure that any problem is addressed or that the project member is replaced promptly.

Project Tracking

Progress to schedule is tracked throughout the project lifecycle and is reported on a regular basis by the project team to the client, Agilis Solutions Senior Management, and other key stakeholders. Our normal reporting cycle consist of semi-monthly reports which include:

  • Deliverables produced or completed in the reporting period.
  • Activities scheduled for the following reporting period.
  • Results of specific tests.
  • Project risks, risk indicators, risk triggers, and mitigation plans and strategies.
  • Issues and problems, with corrective action recommendations.
  • Progress against schedule, budget, and requirements compliance.
  • Project processes assessment, including:
  • Implementation, development, change control, risk management, quality assurance, and project management processes.
