Example: Commercial Bank Central Payment System; Re-Engineered; UI Design; Netware and Microsoft
A major commercial bank, with more than 120+ branches, had implemented a Central Payment System in 1997, which was based on the Netware platform and used a customized middleware product to connect the central office with branch offices over a dial-up network. In 2002, the bank decided to migrate the application to a Microsoft Windows platform, and use either a WAN or the Internet inter-system communication. Responsibilities included development, regression testing for all interfaces with legacy systems, such as the retail banking application, Human Resource management application, MIS, etc., and deployment to 120+ branch offices.
