• Customer desired a handset based product for fleet management. Features included inquiry status of all handsets in the fleet; reporting of Call detailed record (CDR) of each handset in the fleet, plus billing information; change customer and/or billing addresses; swap pricing plan, modify supplementary services, and change GSM number. The application will have to deal with several types of switches (such as Alcatel, Motorola, and Erikson), and provide a data refinement function to refine CDR data before pumping it into a data warehouse. The system supports multiple languages. To do this the presentation layer was split into several sub-layers using XML.
