Example: Industry IT ERP Application; Re-Engineered Legacy Solution; JD Edwards

•  This client relies on a central ERP system (JD Edwards) which covers many but not all of the central business functions. Hundreds of peripheral applications interface with JDE to augment the central business functions. Quite a few of those applications were developed in Microsoft Access, VB, Excel, and even Lotus Notes, and many are shared among multiple users via shared drives (not true networked or multi-user apps). This reliance on antiquated software applications prevents efficient maintenance and also prevents easy migration to newer platforms, networks, OSs , and other infrastructure changes.

•  Agilis Solutions has been helping the client accomplish the following:

•  Maintain and enhance the ERP system, implement new modules and build reports.

•  Identify business critical shared applications written in unsupported languages (Excel, Access, VB, Lotus), reverse engineer them and rewrite them in Microsoft Dot Net.

•  Easily maintained software

•  Links easily with the ERP system

•  Easily accessible via the web

•  Compatible with newer machines, operating systems, and infrastructure.

•  More closely aligned with business needs

•  These applications have ranged from the small and simple, to large complex applications that must comply with government calculation and reporting requirements.

•  Testimonials have been coming in from users expressing gratitude for software that makes business processes faster, easier, and relieving pain and frustration.

•  Our flexible model has allowed us to ramp up to large team sizes for management of multiple projects simultaneously and down to small team sizes when business requirements are less. The customer has been very pleased with the flexibility this provides.
