PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Explain how project management works with your resources and with the client company.
Our project manager (PM) is responsible for the successful management of the project as described in the agreed upon Statement of Work (SOW). Normally, our PM reports to a designated individual at the client site (possibly a client PM or R&D manager). The PM works directly with the client to ensure that the project plan is completed and approved and client project resources are assigned. Throughout the project, the PM interacts on a daily basis with both the Agilis Solutions resources (locally and offshore) and with the client to ensure the project is progressing as expected and that both client and Agilis Solutions expectations are managed well.

How do you handle change (requirements, functionality, etc.)?
When changes to the current plan (requirements, functionality, etc) are identified, a change order is generated which describes the change, the cost of the change, and the effect on the schedule. Both the client and Agilis Solutions management approve the change order.

What tools do they use?
We use MS Project for planning and tracking projects. We have a tool for project estimating that is based on Use Case Point (UCP) analysis. In addition, we have several templates for project management, such as, project plan, risk identification and management, status reporting, change orders, project initiation, project closedown, etc.

How often to you report progress?
At a minimum, a formal written checkpoint report is submitted to the client twice a month. The client may request more frequent formal reporting. Informally, our project managers interact with the client daily, reporting progress on projects and/or issues.

How do you report progress?
A checkpoint report is generated that covers: Tasks/Activities completed in reporting period; Tasks/Activities planned for next reporting period; Issues, including status and plans to resolve; Financial status (hours, costs) per reporting period
